CapiCap CapiCap

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 July 2026

CapiCap ("the app") is designed to be private by default. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version: CapiCap does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. Everything you do in the app happens on your device.

Your videos and transcripts

The one-time model download

On first launch, CapiCap downloads its speech-recognition model (about 600 MB) from Hugging Face so transcription can run on your device. This is the only network request the app makes. The download contains no personal data about you, and after it completes the app works fully offline.

Tips (optional in-app purchases)

CapiCap is free. It includes an optional "tip jar" with consumable in-app purchases that are a way to say thank you and unlock nothing.

Analytics and tracking

CapiCap contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The app does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across apps or websites.

Data we hold about you

None. Because CapiCap has no accounts and no servers that receive your content, there is no personal data for us to store, sell, or disclose.

Children's privacy

CapiCap does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new "last updated" date.
